The Neighborhood Pace Car Program empowers people to calm traffic on residential streets and around schools dramatically, immediately, and free of charge. Pace Car drivers set the speed of traffic by driving within the speed limit and displaying the official Pace Car sticker on their vehicles.

Pace Cars make it safer for children and adults to walk and cycle, without the need for physical barriers. If you care about the safety of your community, want to keep neighborhood streets from becoming expressways, or want to make Atlanta a safer, more relaxed place to live, then the Pace Car program is for you!

It's simple! Just sign the Pace Car Pledge online for your free, official Pace Car sticker. You pledge to:

1. Drive within the speed limit on streets that allow pedestrians. 2. Stop for pedestrians and be courteous to bicyclists. 3. Display the official Pace Car sticker on your vehicle.

When you receive your sticker, put it on the rear of your car and start setting the pace! All Pace Car materials are available to residents of metro Atlanta only.

Your Pace Car becomes a "mobile speed hump" compelling the traffic behind you to observe the speed limit. The official Pace Car sticker tells other motorists why you’re driving responsibly and deters tailgating. It shows you care about safety in your community.
